Week 5 · The Khalsa · Day 34

Living as Khalsa — every day

This week we have learned about Vaisakhi, the Panj Pyare, the Five Kakars, and Amrit Sanchar — but the Khalsa spirit is not just about ceremonies and symbols. It is lived in ordinary moments: in how honestly you speak, how gently you treat someone who is struggling, how cheerfully you do your chores, how firmly you refuse to join in when someone is being mocked. Guru Gobind Singh Ji created the Khalsa to be a people of integrity and courage, visible to the world — and that starts long before Amrit, and never finishes.

Today's idea

Being Khalsa isn't just about the five articles of faith — it's about how you treat people, how you work, and how you carry yourself every single day.

Pick two or three — there's no wrong way to do a day.

Gurmukh karnee; Har keerat saar.

“The Gurmukh's way of living is to sing the praises of the Creator — that is the most excellent deed.”

Ask: 'You don't have to take Amrit to live like the Khalsa. What is one thing every Sikh — young or old — can do today?'
