Maastarji ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Maastarji website at maastarji.com and associated mobile applications (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Services.
We take your privacy seriously, especially because our Services are designed for children and families. Please read this policy carefully.
Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
Our Services are designed for educational use by children under the supervision of parents and educators. We take the following measures to protect children's privacy:
- We do not require account registration or the collection of any personal information to use our games, books, or learning resources.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device only (via localStorage/sessionStorage) and are never transmitted to our servers.
- We do not display third-party advertisements.
- We do not include in-app purchases or any monetization within our games.
Information We Collect
Analytics Data (Only With Your Consent)
With your consent, we use Firebase Analytics (Google) and Microsoft Clarity to understand how our Services are used. This collects aggregated, anonymized data such as which pages are visited and which games are played. This data does not identify individual users. These tools do not load — and set no cookies — unless you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer.
Device Storage (Local Only)
Our apps and games store the following data on your device only, never on our servers:
- • Game preferences and settings (e.g., Kid Mode on/off)
- • Quiz session progress (cleared when the session ends)
- • Analytics opt-out preference
Newsletter (Optional)
If you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter via Substack, your email address is collected and managed by Substack under their own Privacy Policy. We do not collect or store email addresses directly.
Story Feedback (Optional)
On book pages, an adult can choose to leave feedback about a story — a star rating and, optionally, a short comment and a name. Choosing a rating opens a short form hosted by Tally (a third-party form service) in a new tab; your response is only sent if you submit it there, under Tally's own Privacy Policy. With care, we may show selected comments as testimonials on our site. Please do not include a child's full name or any personal details. We never ask children for this information.
How We Use Information
We use the limited data we collect to:
- • Understand which learning resources are most helpful to families
- • Improve the quality and content of our educational materials
- • Ensure our games and features work correctly
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
