Japji Sahib: Learn & Play (the "App"), published by Maastarji, is designed for children and families and is built to collect no personal information at all. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and we never ask for your child's name. Everything the App remembers — which gems you've earned, your streak, and your settings — is stored only on your device. The App works fully offline.

Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect, store, or share any of the following:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information.
  • Precise or coarse location.
  • Photos, contacts, microphone, or camera data.
  • Advertising identifiers. The App contains no third-party advertising and no ad networks.
  • Any personal identifier that could be used to contact or identify a child.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, the App is designed to be compliant with children's privacy laws including COPPA (US) and the GDPR-K / age-appropriate design expectations.

Information stored on your device only

To make the App work, the following is saved locally on your device and never transmitted to us or anyone else:

  • Your progress (gems earned, current pauri, streak).
  • Your chosen companion (Kaur ji / Singh ji) — a picture choice, not a name.
  • Your settings (show transliteration, gentle hints).
  • Your purchase status (whether the one-time unlock has been bought).

Deleting the App removes all of this from your device.

Purchases

The App is free to download. Listening to and reading all of Japji Sahib is always free. One optional, one-time in-app purchase ("Unlock the word-games") unlocks the interactive word-games. Families who can't or don't want to pay may unlock the same word-games for free from the same screen, no questions asked. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store — we never see or store your payment details. Purchases are placed behind a parental gate ("ask a grown-up"). Apple processes the transaction under its own privacy policy.

Analytics and crash reporting

The App does not use any analytics or crash-reporting services. We receive no usage data.

No third-party sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any information, because we do not collect any. The only third party involved is Apple, solely to process an optional purchase you choose to make.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL.
