Once there was a little girl with golden hair. Everyone called her Goldilocks.

One morning she wandered deep into the woods and found a little cottage. The door was open, so she peeked inside. No one was home, for the three bears who lived there had gone for a walk.

On the table sat three bowls of porridge. Goldilocks was hungry. She tasted the big bowl. "Too hot!" She tasted the middle bowl. "Too cold!" She tasted the little bowl. "Just right!" And she ate it all up.

Then she saw three chairs. The big chair was too hard. The middle chair was too soft. The little chair was just right, but she bounced too much, and crack, it broke beneath her.

Goldilocks felt sleepy. Upstairs she found three beds. The big bed was too lumpy. The middle bed was too squishy. The little bed was just right, and soon she was fast asleep.
ਫਿਰ ਤਿੰਨ ਰਿੱਛ ਘਰ ਆਏ। "ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਲੀਆ ਚੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ!" ਵੱਡੇ ਰਿੱਛ ਨੇ ਗਰਜ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ। "ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਵੀ!" ਵਿਚਕਾਰਲੇ ਰਿੱਛ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ। "ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਹੀ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ!" ਛੋਟੇ ਰਿੱਛ ਨੇ ਰੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ।
Then the three bears came home. "Someone has tasted my porridge!" growled the big bear. "And mine!" said the middle bear. "And mine is all gone!" cried the little bear.

They found the broken chair. They climbed the stairs. "Someone is sleeping in my bed!" squeaked the little bear.

Goldilocks woke with a start. She saw three surprised bears and jumped up at once. "I am so sorry!" she said, and she hurried out the door and ran all the way home.
