The Frog Prince

। ਲੈਂਦੀ, ਲੈਂਦੀ, ।
Once there was a princess who loved her golden ball. She tossed it up and caught it, up and caught it, all day long.
, । ਉਛਲ ਗਈ , ਛਪਾਕ , ਤਾਲਾਬ ।
One sunny morning, she threw the ball too high. It bounced away and rolled, plop, into a deep pond.
ਲੱਗ । ", ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਗਈ!"
The princess began to cry. "Oh, my ball is gone forever!"
"ਰੋ ," । , ' ਬੈਠਾ । " । ਬਣਨ ਕਰੇਂਗੀ?"
"Do not cry," said a soft voice. It was a little green frog, sitting on a lily pad. "I can fetch your ball. But will you promise to be my friend?"
", , !" ।
"Yes, yes, I promise!" said the princess.
ਛਪਾਕ! , , । । ਗਈ।
Splash! The frog dived down, down, down. Up he came with the golden ball. The princess laughed and ran home, forgetting all about her promise.
, , , , ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ' ਖੜਕਾਹਟ ਹੋਈ। ਬੈਠਾ ।
That evening, tap, tap, tap, came a knock at the door. There sat the little frog.
" ਬਣਨ ," । " ।"
"I have come to be your friend," he said. "You made a promise."
, ਗਏ। , । ਆਉਣ । ਨਾਲ ਕੋਲ ' ਬਿਠਾ ।
The princess remembered, and her cheeks turned pink. A promise is a promise, she thought. So she let the frog in. She shared her supper with him and set him gently on a soft cushion by her bed.
, ਨਾਲ । , ਕੋਲ ਮੁਸਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ।
In the morning, the princess woke to a wonderful surprise. The little frog was gone, and a kind young prince stood smiling beside her.
" ," । " ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦਾ, । ।"
"A clever bit of magic made me a frog long ago," he said. "Only a true friend who kept her promise could set me free. Thank you."

The princess and the prince became the very best of friends, and they played with the golden ball together for many happy years.
