Asankh naav asankh thaav.
Countless are Your Names, and countless Your places, O God.
Agamm agamm asankh lo-a.
Countless are Your worlds, far beyond our reach and our understanding.
Asankh kahah sir bhaar ho-e.
Even to call them 'countless' is to carry a weight on our heads.
Akhree naam akhree saalaah.
It is through words that we speak Your Name and through words that we praise You.
Akhree giaan geet gun gaah.
Through words come wisdom, and the songs that sing Your virtues.
Akhree likhan bolan baan.
Through words we write and speak our holy hymns.
Akhraa sir sanjog vakhaan.
And in words our destiny is written and explained.
Jin eh likhe tis sir naah.
But God, who writes everyone's destiny, has none written over His own head.
Jiv furmaa-e tiv tiv paah.
Just as He commands, so exactly do we receive.
Jetaa keetaa tetaa naa-o.
As great as His creation is, so great is His Name.
Vin naavai naahee ko thaa-o.
Without His Name, there is no place at all.
Kudrat kavan kahaa veechaar.
What power do I have to describe You or Your creation?
Vaariaa na jaavaa ek vaar.
I cannot even once make myself a worthy sacrifice to You.
Jo tuDh bhaavai saa-ee bhalee kaar.
Whatever pleases You is the good and right thing to do.
Too sadaa salaamat nirankaar. ॥19॥
You are forever steady and everlasting, O Formless One. ॥19॥
