Week 7 · Brave hearts · Day 43
Bhai Kanhaiya — water for everyone
Today we meet one of the most beloved sewadars in all of Sikh history — a man who carried a bucket of water through a raging battlefield and gave a drink to every wounded soldier he found, friend and foe alike. Bhai Kanhaiya saw no enemy and no stranger, only the same divine light shining in every person. When soldiers complained to Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Guru listened — and then smiled. He said Bhai Kanhaiya had understood the true teaching of Sikhi: that Waheguru lives in everyone. The Guru handed him ointment to dress the wounds too, so his sewa could be even more complete.
Bhai Kanhaiya gave water to wounded soldiers on both sides of the battle — even to the enemy — because he saw the One Creator in every face.

“The Lord Himself is within all living beings — He is the Friend of His devotees.”
Ask: 'Bhai Kanhaiya helped enemies because he saw the Creator in everyone. Is that easy or hard? When would it be hardest for you?'
