Knowledge fills us with wonder and joy, and effort reshapes our mind into something beautiful.
ਗਿਆਨ ਖੰਡ ਮਹਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪਰਚੰਡੁ ॥
Giaan khand mah giaan parchand.
In the Realm of Knowledge, spiritual understanding shines bright and strong.
ਤਿਥੈ ਨਾਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਕੋਡ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥
Tithai naad binod kod anand.
There the celestial music plays, with countless wonders and endless joy.
ਸਰਮ ਖੰਡ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਰੂਪੁ ॥
Saram khand kee baanee roop.
The language of the Realm of Effort is beauty itself.
ਤਿਥੈ ਘਾੜਤਿ ਘੜੀਐ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ॥
Tithai ghaarat gharee-ai bahut anoop.
There something wonderfully beautiful is shaped and made.
ਤਾ ਕੀਆ ਗਲਾ ਕਥੀਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਹਿ ॥
Taa kee-aa galaa kathee-aa naa jaah.
The wonders of that place simply cannot be described.
ਜੇ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਪਛੁਤਾਇ ॥
Je ko kahai pichhai pachhutaa-e.
Whoever tries to describe it is left feeling they fell short.
ਤਿਥੈ ਘੜੀਐ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਮਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਬੁਧਿ ॥
Tithai gharee-ai surat mat man budh.
There our awareness, our thinking, our mind and our wisdom are shaped anew.
ਤਿਥੈ ਘੜੀਐ ਸੁਰਾ ਸਿਧਾ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ॥੩੬॥
Tithai gharee-ai suraa sidhaa kee sudh. ॥36॥
There the understanding of the noble and the wise is freshly formed. ॥36॥
