Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the first of the ten Gurus. He walked thousands of miles teaching one simple, powerful message — that we are all children of one Creator, and that truth lives in how we treat people.

Talk together

Ask: "Guru Nanak said there is no Hindu, no Muslim — just one human family. What does that mean for how we treat people?"

Younger kids: "Guru Nanak was kind to everyone." Older kids: talk about his travels (Udasis).
