Week 2 · The Gurus · Day 9

Guru Nanak & honest bread

On his travels, Guru Nanak showed that honest bread — earned by hard work and shared freely — is sweeter than a feast taken unfairly. The same lesson as Kirat Karni, told as a story.

Today's idea

Guru Nanak chose the simple, honest meal over the rich, dishonest feast.

Pick two or three — there's no wrong way to do a day.

Today's Gurbani

ਏਹੀ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਜਪ ਏਹੀ ॥

Ehi karam dharam jap ehi

“This is the true deed and worship — to remember the Lord's Name.”

— Guru Arjan Dev Ji · Ang 716
