Week 3 · The Gurus continue · Day 16

Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji — the gentle healer

Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji, the seventh Guru, moved through the world with extraordinary gentleness. He kept thousands of animals and a vast garden of healing herbs, and it is said he walked so carefully through the flowers that his cloak barely brushed a petal. For him, every living thing carried the light of the Creator, and to care for creation was to honour the Creator. His life shows us that Sikhi is not just about prayer — it is about how we treat every living being around us.

Today's idea

The 7th Guru showed that caring for all living things — animals, plants, people — is one of the deepest ways to live Sikhi.
