Week 3 · The Gurus continue · Day 17

Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji — Bala Pritam

Guru Har Krishan Sahib Ji is known as Bala Pritam — Beloved of Children. When the Guruship passed to him, he was five years and three months old; yet he carried the same complete divine light as every Guru before him. In Delhi, when a smallpox epidemic spread through the city, he organised relief with the Dasvandh offerings of the Sangat, visiting the worst-affected areas personally and asking nothing in return. He showed that the Guru’s love is not something grown into over time — it is already there, whole from the very beginning.
