ਛ (Chhachha) is the twelfth letter of the Gurmukhi alphabet and the aspirated cousin of ਚ — same shape in your mouth, but with extra breath.
How to teach a 4-year-old
Open and close an umbrella (ਛਤਰੀ) while saying “ਛ … ਛਤਰੀ”. The chh sound needs a real puff of air — have your child try blowing out a candle as they say it. Other ਛ words: ਛੱਪੜ (chhappar — pond), ਛੋਟਾ (chhota — small).
